The Subtle Spark is a sensory-driven furniture extension designed to support subtle movement and fidgeting during moments of stillness. Developed as an addition to a standard chair, the piece encourages tactile interaction through intuitive gestures like tapping, sliding, or gripping—providing a physical outlet for restlessness without disrupting the surrounding environment. The project stems from an interest in how design can quietly respond to human behavior and emotional needs. Through iterative prototyping and material testing, I created a functional yet expressive form that enhances both focus and comfort in everyday seated experiences.
